Moorabool
for Mothers is a not for profit newsletter written for mothers by
mothers. Our committee members who write and produce the newsletter are
from across the Shire of Moorabool. The newsletter is circulated in the
Moorabool Shire.
The newsletter is available to mothers to
inform them of activities and services which are available to mothers
of young children in the shire. We also cover health issues, book
reviews, recipes, parenting tips, poems, web sites and any other topics
of interest.
We encourage mothers to use our newsletter to
promote their groups or activities, to inform about their community and
what they have to offer, or to write about a topic which is important
to them, or which they would like to share with other mums.
We
also have regular input from health professionals and community
representatives, who provide us with information about services they
provide, or topics they believe are current and relevant to mothers of
young children.
We have received great feedback from not only
mums in our area, but local council and health professionals. It is a
great way to not only inform mothers, it also helps to promote services
which are not widely publicized. We have learned a lot about what our
shire has to offer in past 2 years that we have been publishing the
newsletter. Through feedback from mothers we have gained insights into
what are some of the relevant issues concerning mothers in Moorabool,
and topics which are of interest to them. We would like to thank those
people who have supported and continue to support the newsletter.
Anyone
who would like to contribute can email us or post us their information.
We welcome any contributions and try to include what we can in each
issue, particularly if it is an activity which is coming up.
NEWSLETTERS
ARE DISTRIBUTED IN THE SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY, AND THE FIRST WEEK
OF MARCH, MAY, JULY, SEPTEMBER AND NOVEMBER. Contributions should be
sent by the middle of the preceding month for inclusion in the
newsletter. You can do this via our email or postal address.
