About this Project
The "Moorabool Community Online" project or "MCOnline.com.au"is a community driven website produced and maintained by and for the people of Moorabool. Established in the early years of 2000, the Moorabool Community Online project was designed with one principle in mind, to develop a web-portal that could be maintained by and for the members of the Moorabool Community. As well as being a community based communication portal for the Moorabool Community, 'MCOnline.com.au' also acts as the overarching portal for smaller community group's. There are many ways in which you can get involved in the website and loads of information you can find about local news, events and tourism. Highlighted below are some of the features and ways in which you can contribute.
The Moorabool Online News section provides information from across the shire and beyond. You will also find the latest developments and features on MC Online highlighted here. From the news page you also have the ability to suggest a news item for the site.
The Events calendar is a great way to get involved in the website and promote your events at the same time. You have two options for adding events to the site.
- If you only want to add an event occasionally and want to do it quickly the best way is to use our suggest event form to send the event details to the website manager who will then add your event to the site.
- If you want to regularly add events then you can register to use our powerful events manager to add, edit and remove your events from the site. You will receive a login and password if you choose this option.
The Business and Community directories are online databases containing information on businesses and organisations throughout the shire. If your business/organisations is not in the directory there are several joining options available. If you are in the directory but your details are incorrect or out of date then please let us know using our online feedback form.
Have your say on issues of local interest by posting a topic on the discussion board or by replying to topics add by other users. Registering to use the discussion board is fast and simple simply click here and fill in the fields to start posting messages.
The links and resources section is intended to provide the Moorabool community with an online repository of web-links and useful resources. You can get involved by making your own link suggestion using our online form.
